Cara Cara Orange Vanilla Sparkling Cocktail

A beautiful "champagne" cocktail that you pre-prepare and keep in the fridge - just add a splash of sparkling wine and enjoy with flavourful summer beverage.

Ingredients for the Syrup:

  • 2 C. Cara Cara Orange Vanilla Balsamic
  • 2 Oranges Sliced and peeled
  • 1 Vanilla bean

Make the Infused Shrub Syrup:

  1. In a one litre mason jar or container add the fresh botanical/fruit ingredients. 
  2. Pour the balsamic over the fruit and allow to "infuse" for at least one hour or up to four hours in refrigeration. The longer it sits, the more pronounced the flavour of the fruit infusion. 
  3. Strain and keep refrigerated and tightly covered for up to one month.

Make the Shrub:

  1. Put 1 oz of infused syrup (shrub) into a champagne flute. 
  2. Fill with chilled sparkling wine
  3. Garnish with a wedge of orange
  4. If you are not partaking of alcohol, swap the sparkling wine for sparkling water or club soda.
